Entry Rules for US Travelers
Quick myth-buster, since a lot of sites get this wrong. As of now, US travelers do not need an ETIAS to visit France, just a valid passport. ETIAS is the new travel authorization the EU is rolling out in late 2026, and even then there’s a grace period before it’s strictly required. When it does launch it will cost about 7 euros and take minutes to apply for online, so ignore any site charging more or claiming you need it today. Check the official EU ETIAS page for the current status before you book.

The Basilique Saint-Sernin is this massive medieval church that’s basically unchanged since the 11th century and completely free to enter. For the best views of all that pink architecture, cross the Pont Neuf bridge right before sunset.
Toulouse is also considered as France’s aerospace capital, with Cité de l’Espace (Space City) letting you explore actual spacecraft and see a piece of the moon. It’s basically space camp for adults.
