This is my list of the 14 best airlines to fly to Singapore in 2026. I’ve researched every major fleet update, new routes, and cabin products launching this year so you don’t have to. From full-service luxury carriers to no-frills budget airlines that’ll get you there for next to nothing, it’s all here!

There’s a reason Singapore Airlines is the first name that comes up when people talk about flying to the Lion City. This is Singapore’s flag carrier, and it consistently ranks among the top two or three airlines in the world. I’ve flown them into Changi twice now and both times I walked off the plane impressed, even in economy.

If you’re flying from the US, you’ve got nonstop options from New York (JFK and Newark), Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Houston. From Europe, direct flights run from London, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich, and a handful of other cities. And if you’re coming from Australia or Asia, the connections are even more frequent, with multiple daily flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, Bangkok, and dozens more.

The airline is in the middle of a S$1.1 billion cabin overhaul across its entire fleet of A350 aircraft. Brand new business class seats with full privacy doors are expected to debut mid-2026, most likely on London and Sydney routes first. An all-new four-seat First Class cabin follows on ultra-long-range routes from early 2027, with Los Angeles or New York tipped as the first cities to get it. They’re also adding next-generation satellite WiFi, which should be a huge upgrade over their current speeds. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to splurge on a premium cabin to Singapore, this is it.

Qatar Airways was named the world’s best airline at the 2025 Skytrax Awards for the ninth time. If you fly their Qsuite business class even once, you’ll understand why. It’s a fully enclosed suite with a sliding door, lie-flat bed, and the option to convert into a double bed if you’re traveling with someone. I firmly believe it’s the best business class product flying today.

From the US, Qatar operates nonstop flights from over a dozen cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Houston, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, and Washington D.C. You’ll connect through their Doha hub, which is spectacular in its own right, before catching a short onward flight to Singapore. From Europe and Asia, the connections are just as smooth, with flights from London, Paris, Frankfurt, Melbourne, Sydney, and many more.

The biggest upgrade for 2026 is one you’ll notice the second you connect to WiFi. Qatar has rolled out free Starlink internet across its entire Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 fleet, with 787s being fitted right now. We’re talking speeds up to 500 Mbps, gate to gate, completely free for every passenger. That’s faster than most home broadband connections. For a 7+ hour overnight flight to Doha, being able to stream, video call, or just browse properly at 35,000 feet is a genuine game changer.

Cathay Pacific is in the middle of a full reinvention, and the results are showing. The headline is the new Aria Suite business class, a fully enclosed suite with sliding doors, a 24-inch 4K screen, and a lie-flat bed that’s already flying on select 777s to Singapore, London, San Francisco, Sydney, and Frankfurt. By the end of 2027, every long-haul 777 in the fleet will have it. A new lie-flat regional business class called Aria Studio is coming to A330s by late 2026, likely hitting the Hong Kong to Singapore route early on.

From the US, you can fly nonstop from New York JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Boston, with Seattle launching in March 2026. You’ll connect through Hong Kong onto one of up to nine daily flights to Singapore, a quick four-hour hop. A Hong Kong stopover is absolutely worth building into your trip if you have the time. Cathay also connects directly from London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Sydney, Melbourne, and dozens of Asian cities.

I’ve always found Cathay to be an airline that quietly gets everything right without making a fuss about it. The crew are warm without being overbearing, economy is comfortable with good meals and personal screens, and their lounges in Hong Kong are among the best I’ve visited. A brand new First Class called Halo Suites is also planned for 2027 on incoming 777-9X aircraft, so there’s even more to look forward to!

4. 🇦🇪 Emirates

• ✈️ Best For: If you want maximum flight options, a consistently strong experience in every cabin, and an easy Dubai stopover

Emirates flies four times daily from Singapore to Dubai, three of them on the A380. That frequency means flexible scheduling no matter where you’re ultimately headed, and Dubai’s hub connects to over 150 destinations across Europe, Africa, the Americas, and the Middle East. Emirates tends to price competitively on the Singapore route too. It’s a solid option even if you’re just passing through Dubai on the way somewhere else.

The big story for 2026 is the fleet transformation happening across almost every aircraft Emirates operates. Premium Economy is rolling out to over 84 routes by mid 2026, the A350 fleet is expanding to new destinations like Rome, Taipei, and Montreal, and 111 more aircraft are lined up for full cabin retrofits starting in August 2026. The A350 itself is a beautiful aircraft with a three class layout featuring business, premium economy, and economy, though no first class.

Emirates is also rolling out free Starlink WiFi across its entire fleet of 232 aircraft, with 150 expected to be equipped by the end of 2026 and full completion by mid 2027. The service is fast, with speeds that let you stream, video call, and work as if you were on the ground. It’s free in every cabin with one click access and no login hassle, which puts Emirates alongside Qatar Airways as one of the best connected airlines in the sky right now.

5. 🇯🇵 ANA All Nippon Airways

ANA flies three daily nonstops between Singapore and Tokyo, split between Haneda and Narita. From the US, nonstop service runs from New York JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, Washington Dulles, and Seattle, all connecting through Tokyo onward to Singapore. London and Paris connect directly from Europe. Haneda is the preferred airport here as it’s closer to central Tokyo and one of the smoothest transit experiences in Asia.

I’ll be blunt: the service on ANA is different from anything you’ll get on a Western carrier. Japanese hospitality runs through every detail, from the warm towels at boarding to the multi course Japanese meals served with real care. Even in economy, the food is noticeably better, the cabins are spotless, and the crew pay attention without hovering. Their business class product called The Room on select 777s features massive enclosed suites and is regularly ranked among the best in the world.

For 2026, ANA is debuting The Room FX on its 787 Dreamliner fleet starting August. It’s a new business class suite with full height doors, a sofa style seat that converts to a 76.5 inch bed, and at 41.5 inches wide it’ll be the largest seat in its class on any midsize aircraft. Three aircraft should be flying by the end of 2026, with the full 787 fleet eventually following. Premium economy and economy cabins across the 787s are being refreshed at the same time.

6. 🇸🇬 Scoot

I almost left Scoot off this list because it’s a budget airline, but that would be doing you a disservice. If you’re traveling to Singapore on a tighter budget, or you’re already in Asia and need a cheap connecting flight, Scoot is one of the smartest options out there. It’s owned by Singapore Airlines, based at Changi, and flies to over 80 destinations across 18 countries. That’s a bigger network than some full-service carriers on this list.

For longer flights to places like Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, or Athens, Scoot uses Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which are comfortable even in economy. I’d recommend upgrading to ScootPlus on anything over five hours as the wider seats and included meals make a real difference. On shorter hops around Southeast Asia, you’ll fly A320s or the newer Embraer jets. Meals, entertainment, and checked bags all cost extra, but that keeps your base fare low.

New for 2026, Scoot launched daily 787 service to Tokyo Haneda in March, a great option if you’re connecting from Japan on a budget. They’ve also added Chiang Rai, Okinawa, and several Indonesian cities including Medan and Labuan Bajo. Frequencies to Bangkok, Taipei, and Sapporo have increased too. If your goal is exploring Southeast Asia with Singapore as your base, Scoot makes it ridiculously easy.

7. 🇹🇷 Turkish Airlines

• ✈️ Best For: If you want the world’s biggest route network and an excuse to visit Istanbul along the way

Turkish Airlines operates up to 17 weekly flights between Singapore and Istanbul, and that frequency alone gives you lots of flexibility when planning your trip. From the US, nonstops run from 13 cities including New York, LA, Chicago, Washington, and Miami, all connecting through Istanbul onward to Singapore. European connections are even simpler since Istanbul sits right between the two continents.

Starting March 2026, every Turkish flight out of Singapore now operates on either an A350 or 787, both equipped with the newer 1-2-1 business class layout and direct aisle access. Previously it was a lottery and you could end up in an older 2-3-2 cabin with zero privacy, so this is a welcome change. A brand new Crystal Business Class with sliding door suites is also rolling out on retrofitted 777s starting mid-2026, with new A350 deliveries getting them too.

I also want to mention the food because Turkish consistently wins awards for best business class catering. Even the economy meals are better than business on some other airlines! The onboard chef on long haul flights serves Turkish dishes, fresh meze, grilled meats, and baklava that genuinely taste homemade. On a 12 hour flight to Singapore, good food matters more than you’d expect!

8. 🔴 AirAsia

• 🏠 Base: Kuala Lumpur (KUL), with major operations from Singapore Changi
• ✈️ Best For: When you need cheap flights around Southeast Asia and don’t mind skipping the frills
• 💺 Cabin Options: Economy only (AirAsia X offers Premium Flatbed on long haul)
• 🎯 Loyalty Program: AirAsia MOVE rewards
• 🧳 Baggage Policy: 7kg carry-on included; checked bags from around $10 if pre-booked online
• 🧠 Pro Tip: Always buy your checked bag and meals when you book. Prices at the airport or onboard are significantly higher, and even a 20kg bag can cost more than the base fare if you wait.

If you’re already in Singapore and want to explore Southeast Asia without spending much, AirAsia is probably your best bet. They operate over 700 flights per week to and from Singapore, with 11 daily flights to Kuala Lumpur alone. From KL, connections fan out across the region and you can reach Bangkok, Bali, Jakarta, Phuket, Langkawi, Penang, and dozens more cities for genuinely cheap fares. I’ve used AirAsia plenty of times for short regional trips and the value is hard to beat.

Let me be upfront about the trade-offs though. This is a no-frills airline and everything beyond your seat and a small carry-on costs extra. Legroom is tight, delays happen, and the add-on fees stack up if you’re not careful. But if you go in with the right expectations and pre-book your extras at time of purchase, you can fly Singapore to Bali for under $50 one way. That’s tough to argue with.

New for 2026, the long haul arm AirAsia X launched its first European route from KL to Istanbul in late 2025, and you can connect from Singapore via their Fly-Thru service. They’re planning to add London and potentially other European cities through 2026. For short hops within ASEAN though, AirAsia remains the undisputed budget king.

9. 🇰🇷 Korean Air

Korean Air flies nonstop between Singapore and Seoul Incheon daily, and with Asiana adding its own daily service on the same route, you’ll have no trouble finding a schedule that works. Seoul is a fantastic connecting hub for travelers from North America, with nonstops from over a dozen US cities including New York, LA, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, and Seattle. Connections through Incheon to Singapore are well timed and the airport itself makes long layovers feel painless.

The biggest story here is the Asiana merger. Korean Air completed its acquisition in late 2024, and the Asiana brand is being phased out through 2026 with full integration under the new “KOREAN” branding by January 2027. The combined airline will operate around 250 aircraft to over 260 destinations, making it a genuine SkyTeam powerhouse. If you hold Asiana miles, I’d use them before the programs merge since conversion details remain unclear.

On the Singapore route, Korean Air typically flies a 777-300ER. Prestige business class is solid with lie-flat seats and direct aisle access, though the hard product is starting to age compared to newer competitors. Where Korean Air really earns its spot on this list is value. Fares from the US to Singapore via Seoul are often hundreds cheaper than flying nonstop or routing through the Middle East.

10. 🇹🇼 Starlux Airlines

Starlux is the newest airline on this list and one of the most exciting. This Taiwanese carrier launched in 2020 with the goal of building a premium product that could rival the best in Asia, and they’ve delivered remarkably fast. The daily nonstop between Singapore and Taipei runs year round, and I’d recommend Starlux to anyone who values a polished, detail-oriented flying experience.

The big news for 2026 is the A350 returning to Singapore from late March through October. That means access to their full four-cabin product including a gorgeous First Class with just four suites, each featuring closing doors, a 32-inch 4K screen, personal wardrobe, and minibar. Business class is equally impressive with 1-2-1 seating, privacy doors, and fully flat beds. Outside that seasonal window, the A330neo still offers a very solid regional business product.

If you’re flying from the US, Starlux connects through Taipei to Singapore with nonstops from LA, San Francisco, Seattle, and Phoenix. The Alaska Airlines codeshare now links 20 US cities to Taipei on a single ticket. Starlux isn’t in any alliance yet, though they’re hoping to join oneworld, so Alaska miles remain your best redemption option for now.

11. 🇲🇾 Malaysia Airlines

Malaysia Airlines is an airline I think most travelers overlook, and that’s a mistake. Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is barely an hour by air, with roughly eight daily flights. From KL, you can connect onward to London, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Tokyo, and dozens more destinations. For anyone using Singapore as a starting point for a bigger trip, routing through KL is often cheaper and sometimes more comfortable than flying direct.

The reason I say more comfortable is the new A330neo. Malaysia Airlines is the global launch customer for the Collins Aerospace Elevation business class seat, and it’s impressive. Every seat has a closing door, direct aisle access, a fully flat bed, and a 17-inch 4K screen with free WiFi. Seven aircraft are already flying with 33 more on order. The satay service alone, hand-grilled chicken and beef skewers served from a trolley mid-flight, is something I’d recommend experiencing at least once!

In 2026, Malaysia Airlines plans to retrofit its A350 fleet with the same Elevation seats, bringing the new product to the flagship London route. Business class passengers at KL also get a private Mercedes-Benz transfer between terminals. If you collect Avios or hold oneworld status, this airline deserves a serious look.

12. 🇦🇪 Etihad Airways

• 🏠 Base: Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH)
• ✈️ Best For: If you want to try some of the most unique premium cabins in the sky, including The Residence and First Apartments
• 💺 Cabin Options: Economy, Business, First (A380 only), The Residence (A380 only)

Etihad has been on a remarkable comeback, and I’ve been impressed by how much the airline has improved. They carried over 22 million passengers in 2025 and have added more than 50 routes since the start of that year. The Singapore route is now served by the A380, which gives you access to The Residence and First Class Apartments that aren’t available on any other aircraft in their fleet. If you’ve ever wanted to try one of the most over-the-top first class products in the sky, this is your chance from Singapore.

The A350-1000 is where Etihad’s newest business class lives. The 44 Business Suites have sliding doors, forward-facing seats in a 1-2-1 layout, fully flat beds at 79 inches, and 18.5-inch screens. You’ll find the A350 on routes to New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Sydney, and Milan. For 2026, Etihad is expanding to a record eight North American destinations with Charlotte and Calgary joining the network, and reactivating its eighth and ninth A380s to boost premium capacity.

Abu Dhabi works well as a Singapore connection to Europe and North America. The transit experience at the new Terminal A is excellent. I’d consider Etihad especially if you can find award space through American AAdvantage or Air Canada Aeroplan, as business class fares tend to be competitive with Emirates and Qatar.

13. 🇬🇧 British Airways

British Airways flies direct from London to Singapore daily, and the route continues to Sydney as part of the classic Kangaroo route. If you’re based in the UK or connecting through London, this is the most straightforward option. The airline’s ongoing transformation is making it a much better experience than it was even a few years ago. I’d been lukewarm on BA for a while, but the improvements are real.

BA’s Club Suite is the headline product in business class. It features a sliding door for privacy, a 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access, and a fully flat bed. You’ll find it on A350s and retrofitted 777s, though not every aircraft has been updated yet, so check your seat map before booking.
