MomJeans is a denim-blue beach house on Bermuda Beach in Galveston, named by the hosts in honor of their two moms, who are both called Jean. The open kitchen, living, and dining space has new wood floors, a granite wraparound bar, and a full fold-out couch, with views of the Gulf of Mexico from anywhere in the front living area. The king primary suite has its own water view, a twin daybed with a trundle, and a tiled shower with a built-in bench, while two queen bedrooms have attached bathrooms and the bunk room sleeps four.
The big private deck faces the water with captain chairs and two hammock swings, and the beach is right out the front door. Small touches show up everywhere, from charging ports built into the bedside lamps to an iron and ironing board for a dressier dinner in town. I’d claim a hammock swing with my coffee each morning and let the kids race each other to the bunk room.

Rockin’ Wave Family Beach House is a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in the Sea Isle neighborhood on the West End of Galveston, with room for up to 10 guests. Every bed in the house is a queen, including the bunk beds, plus there’s a full-size futon, and all the mattresses and pillows have hypoallergenic covers. The kitchen opens to a big social bar and an extra-large dining table, and the house got new vinyl floors and fresh paint in March 2026, with smart TVs in the living room and each bedroom.
Outside, there’s a huge deck with a gas barbecue pit, and an outdoor shower behind the house complements the walk-in showers on both floors. The house sits on two big fenced lots, and queen-size bunk beds are something I rarely come across in a rental. I’d grill on the deck in the evening and listen for the waves, which you can hear from the house.
The beach is two blocks away with a private parking lot for Sea Isle residents, and The Sandbar marina bar and restaurant is about a six-minute walk. The neighborhood also has boat ramp access, plus a kids park, basketball court, tennis court, and pool within two blocks, with the pool open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
