There’s a king bedroom on the main floor, two queen bedrooms (one with a pullout couch and a walkout to the hot tub), and a fourth room with two twin beds, plus a game room with a Pac-Man arcade table and air hockey. The fully stocked kitchen comes with a few Vermont gifts from the host and your first bag of Vermont Artisan Coffee, made locally in Stowe.
An oversized deck with outdoor dining looks out over the water, and the covered porch holds a seven-person hot tub with the fire pit steps away for s’mores after dark. Two paddle boards and a canoe are included in summer and fall, and you can walk straight down to the lake to launch them or go for a swim, often with loons for company. I recommend heading out on a paddle board early, while the morning mist is still on the lake, and saving the hot tub for the evening.
The cabin sits right in the middle of Stowe and Jay Peak, 20 miles from each, and Burlington Airport is about an hour away. A local park with a beach and playground is half a mile from the cabin, and one recent guest said their kids (ages 6 to 10) handled the hike up Mount Norris just down the street with no trouble. The driveway gets steep in winter, and the hosts recommend 4WD or a heads-up before arrival, which lets them lay traction rock for you.
