Cozy Lakeside Cabin is a recently renovated two-bedroom cabin right on the shore of Lake Catherine in Hot Springs. The downstairs primary bedroom has a king bed with a queen in the open loft above, and the full bathroom has a tub. A wood-burning fireplace warms the living room, which has a big leather couch and lake views from inside.
Down at the water, the dock and swim dock are reserved for cabin guests only, and there are kayaks and a canoe ready to take out. The property covers 7 acres shared with just one other home, which has its own separate dock, meaning the shoreline feels wonderfully private. My favorite plan here would be an early paddle in the canoe and an evening on the wraparound deck.
Downtown Hot Springs and Hot Springs National Park are 15 minutes away, and there are hiking trails nearby. Access is via a steep paved drive, and there’s parking for only one vehicle unless you arrange more with Colleen. The lakefront location also means a grinder-pump sewage system, and flushing anything besides toilet paper triggers an alarm and an emergency service charge.
