In my opinion, it’s best to stay on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. While the US side has its charms, the Canadian side just brings it with those panoramic views, more hotel options, and vibrant nightlife. Plus, the Canadian side feels a bit more like you’re in the thick of it all. There’s attractions and restaurants galore.
Is 1 day enough to see Niagara Falls?
If you fly to Canada, you can definitely get a taste in one day. If you really want to soak it all in, I’d recommend at least two days in Niagara Falls. That way, you can explore both the falls and the surrounding attractions without rushing. Trust me, Niagara Falls will inspire you, you’ll want that extra time to just stare at the falls and maybe catch them lit up at night or take a boat tour.

Both have their magic! During the day, you get the rainbows and the full glory of the falls in natural light. But at night, especially during the summer, the falls are lit up in all colors of the rainbow, and there are fireworks on select nights. Why choose? Experience both if you can!
